Spring Break - stupid chirping birds...

Well its spring break here at the U of O. I’d like to call it the Relief Tease since the school only gives us one week to regain sanity before being bounded to textbooks and reoccurring midterms. Its a nice to take a breather, I’d always pick strolling down a sidewalk over rushing to class. Plus, its relieving that the hardest question I have to face is: McDonald or Carls Jr.?

I enjoy going out and about, traveling and visiting family.  However, I'm no normal spring breaker. My favorite relaxation technique involves imitating a vegetable. (Carrots preferably, underground – blocked from sunlight – is always the way to go.) So I stuck around the deserted campus for a break. No arrogant bike riders or Olympic power walkers, and jaywalking has come at an ease. I’ve also used this extra time to make my room safe and livable once again. Now, my room may not meet mother approval, but I’m sure Mr. Geithner will stop considering it a ‘toxic asset’…

…oh Mr. Geithner….

No matter how short spring break maybe, it’s a hopeful sign for 2 things. For one thing, spring is close by. It is that time of year for blooming flowers, newborn critters, and a skyrocket in Benadryl sales. Not too noticeable here one the westcoast, it snowed this past weekend. But around the corner we can say bye-bye to artic chills and numb fingers and hello to sun basking Barbie dolls on sorority roofs… Its weird… I kno… Second reason to enjoy spring break: 3 months till summer break!!!
